Stage Readings with Theatre on the Ridge

September 22nd, 2019

1 - 3 pm

Calling all theatre lovers! The Uxbridge Historical Centre is hosting the talented and local company, Theatre on the Ridge, for two Stage Reading events at the museum.

What’s a stage reading, you may ask? Unlike an ordinary production, the stage reading is like a live radio play. The theme of the first of these reading events will be Victorian one-act plays, held in the Fifth Line Church on the UHC grounds. Join us on Sunday, September 22nd at 1pm for this matinee performance – it will only be performed once!

Admission is by donation, suggested $10. Funds go towards the UHC and Theatre on the Ridge.

Thank you to all who attended!

Celebrate Culture Days

September 27th, 2019

10 am - 3 pm

Celebrate Ontario's 10th Annual Culture Days at the UHC! We will be open on the Friday of Culture Days weekend for a day of drop-in craft activities.

As it nears the end of the harvest season, we will be making crafts out of our herb garden specimens. Drop in for instructions on how to make herb dolls, learn about herbal uses, and take home a sample from our very own summer growth!

All events for Culture Days are free admission, though we will accept donations on this day. Donations go towards making future events the best they can be, including our upcoming Fright! At the Museum.
